The lovely Arioso is a recital favourite. Bach used it as the Sinfonia in Cantata, Ich steh mit einem Fuß im Grabe, BWV 156, as well as in the Harpsichord Concerto BWV 1056. This version for string quartet is perfect for performances at concerts and weddings alike.
